SAMPLES OF THE SAVIOR is all about the church’s mission and our calling as Followers of Christ! “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me” (Rev. 3:20).
Jesus invites us to dine with Him, to walk in fellowship and friendship with Him. The question is, are we doing the same with the masses of humanity who are hungry for the Bread of life? Christ was a friend of sinners. Are we? Are we inviting sinners to the table to dine with us? The church is that table and we are the hosts. And week in and week out, hungry hunks of humanity file by the table waiting for a simple invitation. This message challenges us to get a little uncomfortable, to push back from the table and invite others to the meal—so that they too can eat and never grow hungry, drink and never be thirsty again. This lesson based from of the story of Jesus and Zaccheus in Luke 19 will inspire us to prepare and invite our friends, family, and neighbors to the Citrus Harvest Festival and Easter Service.
